Changelog

What changed in the API and the MCP server, newest first. Fields are added within a version, never removed or renamed.

Changes to the API, the MCP server and these docs, newest first. Within /v1, fields are only ever added; a field is never removed or renamed, and an enum never loses a value. Anything that would break a client gets a new version path.

v1

The first version of the API and the MCP server.

  • Linear and sheet cut lists: check and solve in one call.
  • Sheet grain and edge banding: grain on sheets, grain_along on parts, band_types, band, band_long, band_short, part_sizes and band_waste on the request; finished sizes, grain, banding and banding[] totals in SheetReport. A part sent with grain: true alone has its grain along its width.
  • Saw files on the web, on Bench and up: a PTX file for panel saw plans, written to the Pattern Exchange File specification V1.12, and a saw stop CSV for linear plans with each cut's quantity, length and both angles.
  • True-shape nests and load plans as background jobs, with status, plans and exports.
  • Load plans a dock can follow: loading_steps on each space, offset_along and offset_across in centre_of_gravity, and why, fix and over on each unplaced item; csv and excel load exports with a step column.
  • Usage: the month's search pool and the next lane.
  • Load plans on Free: 5 a month. Usage adds loads_limit, loads_used and loads_left, null on paid plans; a sixth load in a month answers 403 with upgrade set to bench.
  • The workspace's saved nest parts and load spaces, listed for requests to use.
  • One error shape across every call, Idempotency-Key on every POST, and per-minute budgets by plan.
  • Sign-in for assistants: Claude, Claude Desktop and ChatGPT add the MCP server as a connector and sign in with OAuth, with no key to copy.
  • MCP server with eleven tools, their input and output schemas taken from the OpenAPI document and their behaviour in annotations.
  • These docs, with the API reference drawn from the same document.
